A shrug a look of disdain
A walk away, full of pain
Joys seeps out – deflated

So many ways to alienate
Inappropriateness to grate
Wrong word, wrong time, too late
Excuse to hang us by our fate

Alienation quite complete
With every meeting
Shaytan wins, what a defeat
Some mistakes oft repeat

Alienation flung afar
With tauba and istighfaar
Ownership of events
Leaves no dent

Shaytan snares
Alienation flares
Continents apart
Not enough to appease the heart
