Taraweeh – tremendous joy

Quick to eat and clear up
Main focus not on the cup
Fajr too, at leisurely pace
Once sahoor has taken place
Anticipate days filled with ibadaah
Senses tuned to deeper rahmah
Openings and insights occur best
When from the dunya the mind is at rest
Month of celebration for the muslim state
Qu’ran the gift to the ummah
Look forward to full immersion
Recharge batteries for the year
Anticipate a time of healing
Repair and regroup energise the spirit
