Shared with his Dad

Who’s joyful inside yet sad

Aware of envy and all that’s bad

Thrown in the well, than pulled out, 

Sold as slave, such a sell out

From the well, made a slave 

At the end he still forgave

Raced to the door, for God’s sake 

Saving integrity that was at stake 

The shirt from the back ripped

Over his beauty the women flipped

His good looks got him in deep trouble

He was safer amidst the prison rubble

The prison years he withstood 

His noble mission he understood

Beautiful patience for father and son

Allah’s planning – best that’s done

Dreams played a critical role

Messages from beyond scrolled

His noble lineage kept him sane

Messages in dreams he could explain

Gets him the top seat

What an amazing feat

In foreign land 

Without a friend

Noble heritage never in doubt

Though he had no overt clout

In every scheme latent good

Divine planning at it’s best

Beauty in patience unfolds

When unflinching faith holds

Prophecies fulfilled 

Evil plotting come unhinged

Firm resolve wins the day

Comes to full circle – Allah’s way

In every connivance and plot

Divine intervention – on the spot
