Muslim Joys
Joys for Muslims are of many a kind
But to them we are mostly blind
A family that wakes up for fajr prayer
Walks to the mosque in absence of traffic blare
The blessings of a meal without TV
Muslim joys are of many a kind
Some we know some we’ve left behind
A family together to talk and see
Hearing the Qur’an before you go to bed
Clears the brain, lightens the head
With sharing, caring and forbearance
We are now at variance
The joy of courtesy to elders,
The genuine giving children time
These are joys that aren’t just mine
The bliss of a helping hand
Guiding someone, showing the way
Accentuates, praising Allah all day
For making possible
Deeds that are noble and grand
Muslim joys are endless in time
More venues open to serve mankind
More opportunities to worship and praise
Technology harnessed for better ways
