Rizq Rahmah
bursting at the seams
with thoughts and dreams
hoping to be on siratul mustaqeem
finding purpose in myriad themes
Rizq allocations guarantee
is still by Divine decree
the living still live
the dying still die
the embryos grow
the births still flow
the barber is closed
the hair still grows.
the garden service closed
and the grass still grows
Rahmah still flows
Allah’s the Razaq
he’s As Samaad
a bedrock support
so unique n Ahad
some business fall
others flourish
masks by shiploads
and Zoom overloads
where’s the new wave
of opportunities that emerge
restaurants maybe closed
food production still surge
the food parcels packed
a bonanza for some –
a windfall for the one
with no expectations
those who would have been
normally hungry and unseen
suddenly become recipients
of hand out schemes
those who were self reliant
thought they earned their rizq
find themselves bereft of Rahmah
at the wrong end of the stick
Divine allocation realigns
who’s ahead who’s left behind
bigger picture needs to be seen
if we wish to be on siratul mustaqeem
