What’s more important
To be right
Or have a relationship

Is my attention on
Fixing, correcting, judging
Or is it on
Nurturing relationships

When can I Iet go
Of seeing wrongs
And Being right..

Is the friction worth
The cold air that emanates
And body language that alienates

So easy to be estranged
When on my high horse I am
Drowned in shaytanic spam

Egged into self indulgence
I am right and
You are wrong.

So easy to see your wrongs
Not notice my own reflection
And lose out on a relationship

What need is greater
Feeding the ego
And being right.

Or maintaining ties.
Of silah rahmi*
Blood ties, marriage ties

To keep the bond strong
I need to let go
That I’m right n you’re wrong.

Need a reality check
When judging others.
How stiff with pride is my neck

What do I value
Being right
Or having a relationship
