When the going goes good
You see trees from wood
Everything is rosy
Can’t be more cozy
Easy to be thankful
For the heart to be tranquil
When immersed in crisis
And depression entices.
Easier to be in deep dismay
Easier to unhinge and stray
Need to dig deep inside
For fears to subside
Know who holds the reigns
Of situations that change
Solace is faith based
Sweet serenity you taste
You’re quick to bounce back
God gifted, developed knack
Then immersed in gratitude
Becomes a consistent attitude
