Who’s in charge
You forget, you forage

Rizq is in who’s hand
We think we are so clever
With the castles in sand
We think are forever

Without taqwa and tauhid
We plant the wrong seeds
Values besmirched
Ultimately left in the lurch

We forget who’s in charge
Who’s purpose do we serve
Wilfully or willingly
Divine decree we are fulfilling

We create the consequences
So filled with self confidence

Yet who’s in charge?
Not you and not me
