Points to ponder
When someone is in grief
over a loss in disbelief
Just open a window of hope
For introspection, to cope
Don’t belabour the tawakkul point
Let it be a journey of self discovery
So they can operate
Beyond outer grief and action
Come to complete comfort inside
Knowing it’s by Allah’s decree
We pay lip service.
Say the correct words
But if it doesn’t resonate
inside, in the heart, pointless
From words you can tell
what the heart feels
Dry mechanical words
Or is the heart engaged
