The new way to please
Is trying to appease
Being political correct
And being circumspect
Is it an achievement
Redefining core values
Unworthy of being used
All to be in agreement
Do we need to fit mainstream
Give in to vain dreams
Part ways with beliefs
To achieve momentary relief
Things turned upside down
Makes us into clowns
To fit in with the times
You end up toeing their line
When we need to only worry
Pleasing the One and Only
Before we end up being sorry
For being fake and phony
Appeasement
A form of agreement
Undermines morality
Makes normal abnormality
To navigate these times
With the blurring of lines
No easy feat
Difficult to beat
Bank on tawakkul
By the bucketful
Intentions renew
Vigilantly review
Blessings will accrue
Barakah will come through
We’ll be safe amidst turbulence

Or make fear mongering volcanic
Be aware and minimise
Trust Allah, He’ll chastise.
So don’t appease
Or try to please
Stay away, beware
