May I find in me to be glad
May I find in me to not be sad
May I find it in me to not feel bad
May I find it in me to trust Allah
His Mercy encompasses all
No matter how many fall
We count the martyrs, appalled
The enemy it really galls
The hope that never diminishes
The faith that’s ever flourishes
Firm resolve will always be
Ultimate victory for all to see
It will all add up individually
When I find in me
To be one of them
When I find it in me
To be rid of all phlegm
When I find in me
From hypocrisy a shield
Even while far from the battle field
To negativity learn not to yield
When I don’t shop till I drop
Eat my fill before I stop
When I’m not hooked on brands
Hooked on being grand
Where’s my expression of care
For the oppressed, how they fare
Demonstrate, under loudspeaker blare
For a while be seen to frown n glare
May I find it in me to pray
Truly keep shaytan at bay
24/7 not to go astray
Curtail luxury living day by day
Ya Allah
When will I find it in me
The pain of the oppressed
That causes lifestyle changes
To live the sunnah way
